Our Meals on Wheels service was established following a growing number of requests to support people in the community who were experiencing difficulty in preparing a main meal for themselves each day. This was often due to ill health, an older person living alone or a person living with a disability but all in need of either temporary or long term support.
Our meals and desserts are prepared and cooked by professionally trained chefs using only the best nutritional ingredients. Accommodations are made for those service users with certain dietary requirements, for example we provide a diabetic friendly dessert.
An individual meal costs €5 and consists of a main meal and dessert. Our meal plan is scheduled over a two week period to ensure a variety of tastes and flavours.
Our Meals on Wheels service covers the greater Tallaght district and Blessington area. We operate Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with deliveries from 11:30am.
