Trustus We Care CLG, trading as Trustus Senior Care, formerly Tallaght Welfare Society, is the longest serving community/voluntary organisation in the greater Tallaght and surrounding areas, having been established by the Dominican Order Tallaght in 1969.
We operate a number of support services for the elderly and vulnerable people of our community. These services include Meals on Wheels, a Friendly Call Service, the Seniors Alert Scheme (pendant alarms) and a Day Centre which is a social outlet and which provides a range of activities for senior citizens.
At Trustus Senior Care, we endeavour to be a professional, reliable, and trustworthy organisation that focuses on supporting the physical, psychological, social and personal needs of our clients, aimed at creating a caring environment within our community. As a HSE Approved Service Provider, we strictly adhere to healthcare standards and regulations to ensure a high standard of safety and care for all our clients.
Our services are delivered by a well-trained, courteous, and dedicated team. We value and appreciate the efforts of our team and encourage our team and our clients to have a voice in the operation of our organisation. In partnership with the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection (DEASP), our Active Labour Market programme (more commonly known as the CE Scheme) provides valuable and varied work experience, training and supports for unemployed individuals that are looking to re-enter the work force.
To help support our charitable organisation, we also operate a charity shop known as The Magpies Nest, which is located in the Village Green Shopping Centre, Tallaght and which sells a variety of items such as clothing, jewellery, books, DVDs, video games and toys. We regularly receive donations of brand new and second-hand goods from generous individuals that want to help support us. All proceeds from the Charity Shop go towards helping us provide our range of services.
